  • Leather type and quality
The leather bags are handcrafted to celebrate the individual variations of each piece. Our accessories make the most of the pronounced grain and natural markings of the skins used which makes each piece unique. Handcrafted leather bags are created by the artisans who understand the best leather for specific decisions. We would love to introduce you to the types of leather used in the manufacturing process, each has its own unique properties, such as durability, softness, and texture, which impacts the look and feel of the bag. Cowhide Leather: It is durable, strong, and relatively affordable. Cowhide leather is also easy to work with, and can be treated with a variety of finishes, including aniline, semi-aniline, and pigmented. Calfskin Leather: It is thinner and softer than cowhide leather, making it ideal for high-end bags for that require a more refined look. Due to its high quality and soft feel, calfskin leather is the ideal choice for luxury goods such as designer handbags. Suede Leather: Suede leather is made from the underside of the animal skin, giving it a soft, fuzzy texture. Suede leather can be prone to staining and water damage but can be treated with a protective spray to improve its durability. Full-grain Leather: Full-grain leather is made from the top layer of the animal skin, Due to its strength and durability, it is also the most expensive leather type ensuring high quality and longevity. The leather can be left untreated or treated with a protective finish. Top-grain Leather: Similar to full-grain leather which has been sanded or buffed to remove any imperfections. The high-quality leather is durable and long-lasting, making it a beautiful material for bags. Patent Leather: Patent leather is a type of leather and coated with a glossy finish. It is commonly used in clutches and evening bags to give a high shine finish. Exotic Leather*: The leather is obtained from non-traditional animal skins, such as alligators, ostrich, and snakes. It is more expensive than traditional leather but offer a unique look and texture for bags. *Note: We do not store exotic leather bags due to unethical and cruel farming practices employed. The exotic leather is not a natural byproduct of the food industry, the exotic animals are farmed and killed for their leather alone. Although high-end design houses use exotic skin, we do not consider it as ethical, sustainable practice.
  • Care and Maintenance of your leather bag
Our Recommendations Avoid any chemical spillages as soon as you can with a dry cloth. Use a damp cloth for any stubborn marks; however, avoid washing detergents and household cleaning products completely as it will bleach the colour and will dry out the leather. for maintaining the optimum condition of your leather bag, use natural leather cream. Avoid rubbing against rough clothing or furniture as natural leather is susceptible to staining from other fabrics, particularly denim. Most of our bags have been treated with hydrophobic treatment for protection from water, however, any exposure to heavy rain should be minimised to retain the quality. Treat your suede bags with a quality suede spray if you need more protection to retain its natural beauty. Do not dry your products quickly with artificial heat to prevent the leather from drying out and becoming brittle. Overtime, the hardware may fade, therefore, we suggest a regular polish with a jewellery cloth to keep the metal glossy, but you may prefer to let it darken. Ageing is natural with all leather goods, it involves softening and creasing in areas that see the most movement and also a slight darkening as the leather absorbs oils from your skin. This ageing is totally unique to you and indicator of the joy of owning a beautifully crafted bag.

We adore beautiful craftsmanship and recognise the dedication, effort and time invested in handcrafting the leather accessories. Our accessories are priced fairly without addition of marketing and publicity overheads. We believe our craftsmen should be compensated for their hard work and not exploited. We support "Fair pricing". We stock timeless, statement pieces which transcends trends and do not overstock, Consequently, there are no "Stock clearance" and "End of season" sales. We stock in small quantities and replenish our stock in response to customer demands with the aim of minimising waste or contributing to landfill.
  • Commitment to Sustainable practices
Ethical Sourcing of Materials: Sustainable leather bag manufacturing practices involve ethical materials sourcing. Our selected suppliers use sustainable and ethical practices in their farming and production processes. Reduction of Waste: Manufacturers can adopt sustainable practices by reducing waste in their production processes. They can do this by using leather offcuts for small leather goods such as keychains and cardholders, or upcycling them for other products. Sustainable packaging: We proactively try to minimise usage of plastic by using eco-friendly packaging boxes and biodegradable plastics. Product Durability: We are committed to moving away from the "Fast Fashion" lane and house beautifully crafted, durable and long-lasting products. We would love to see our customers enjoy the beautiful bags for a long time, reducing waste and contributing less to the landfill. Natural Materials: As a natural material, leather is biodegradable and will return to the earth once it does start to disintegrate. Faux leathers can take up to 500 years to decompose and contain detrimental microplastics and chemicals that seep into the earth. Do we really want to use these alternatives?
